The DV8 Intense Collision is the latest entry in the once-a-year DV8 Collision line, a series known for shiny asymmetric performance with a bold, eye-catching look. It pairs the asymmetric Collision Core with the HK22C2 Havoc Pearl coverstock, a combination tuned for length through the front with a strong, continuous move on the backend. DV8 designed it with slightly less responsiveness than the Severe Collision, producing a smoother, rounder shape while keeping a stronger overall footprint than the Heckler Hybrid.

Where a stronger solid digs in early, the Intense Collision is built to clear the front of the lane and save its energy for the breakpoint. The asymmetric Collision core stores that energy and the HK22C2 Havoc Pearl cover lets the ball get down the lane cleanly, then the asymmetry drives a defined, continuous backend. Understanding the DV8 Collision Core and DV8 HK22C2 Havoc Pearl Reactive

DV8 built the Intense Collision for length with a strong backend on medium to heavy oil. Specifically, the asymmetric Collision Core posts a low 2.462 RG at 15 lb, a strong .052 differential, and a .019 intermediate differential (ASY), numbers that produce high flare and a defined breakpoint, while the HK22C2 Havoc Pearl cover lets the ball clear the front and respond strongly to friction. A Low-RG Asymmetric Core for Stored Energy and a Defined Breakpoint

At the heart of the Intense Collision is the asymmetric Collision Core. At 15 lb it measures a low 2.462 RG, a strong .052 differential, and a .019 intermediate differential (ASY), a combination that produces high track flare and a defined, repeatable breakpoint. The low RG gets the ball revving, while the strong differential and intermediate differential create the energy storage and flare the ball needs to make a powerful move off the friction. The Intense Collision wraps that core in DV8’s HK22C2 Havoc Pearl Reactive coverstock at a 500, 1000, 1500 Siaair / Factory Compound finish. As a pearl, the cover is built to clear the front of the lane cleanly and store energy for the backend, so the ball saves its motion for the breakpoint rather than reading early like a solid.

Paired with the low-RG Collision core, the HK22C2 Havoc Pearl gives the Intense Collision its identity: clean length through the heads with a strong, continuous response when it sees friction.
