The Super Symmetrical Core Now in a Pearl Cover for More Length and Flip

About the Evil Eye Pearl

The Radical Evil Eye Pearl brings the popular Evil Eye platform back with a new cover. It keeps the same Evil Eye Symmetric core that made the original a bestseller and wraps it in the new HK22C Pearl Reactive coverstock, a combination Radical built to add more down-lane motion through extra length and more flip at the breakpoint. The Evil Eye Pearl lands in Radical’s Top Shelf category and finishes in Smoke, Teal, and Magenta cosmetics.

The original Evil Eye earned its following for a wide range of performance and its unusual drilling flexibility, and the Pearl carries that same idea forward. Where a solid waits to make its move earlier in the lane, the Evil Eye Pearl conserves energy through the fronts and saves it for a stronger, more angular finish, making it the natural complement to the original Evil Eye rather than a replacement for it.

Understanding the Radical Evil Eye Symmetric Core and Radical HK22C Pearl Reactive

Radical paired the proven Evil Eye Symmetric core with a clean pearl cover to add length and backend flip to the platform. The undrilled core measures a 2.495 RG with a starting differential of .045, and the Super Symmetrical design responds to layout across six drilling options, letting your pro shop lean the reaction earlier or longer to fit your game. Wrapped in the new HK22C Pearl Reactive cover at a polished 500, 1000, 1500 Siaair and Factory Compound finish, the Evil Eye Pearl gets cleanly down the lane and makes a strong, defined move at the breakpoint. The full per-weight numbers are listed below.

A Super Symmetrical Core That Drills Like an Asymmetric

At the heart of the Evil Eye Pearl is the Evil Eye Symmetric core, the same weight block that made the original Evil Eye a bestseller. The undrilled core measures a 2.495 RG and a starting differential of .045, but those numbers only tell part of the story. Radical designed the Evil Eye as a Super Symmetrical core, meaning it responds to layout far more than a typical symmetric block.

With the six available drilling options, a driller can take the total differential up to .057 and add an intermediate differential of as much as .023, turning this symmetric ball into a very strong asymmetric-style reaction. That range is what gave the Evil Eye platform its reputation: one core that can be drilled smooth and controllable or strong and angular, so the layout has a real say in how early and how hard the ball revs up.

A Pearl Cover Built for More Length and More Flip

The big change from the original Evil Eye is the coverstock. The Evil Eye Pearl introduces the new HK22C Pearl Reactive cover, polished at the factory to a 500, 1000, 1500 Siaair and Factory Compound finish. The pearl additive conserves energy through the heads and midlane, so the ball pushes cleanly through the fronts and stores its power for the backend instead of burning up early.

When the cover and the Evil Eye core engage at the breakpoint, the result is more down-lane motion than the original: more length through the fronts and more flip off the dry. That makes the Evil Eye Pearl the down-lane complement to the original Evil Eye, a ball that reads later and finishes stronger when the fronts dry up or you want a sharper entry angle.
